Variation Live guarantees the transport of all live animals in optimal conditions of safety, comfort and hygiene. All animals travelling via Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will stay at our KLM Cargo animal hotel during transit and at arrival.

Variation Live Pets

Dogs and cats deserve the same comfort and attention we give to our passengers. We transport your companion in climate-controlled, pressurized compartments, ensuring the health and well-being of your pet. In transit cats and dogs are temporarily housed in larger kennels and given food and water. In short, your pet receives the royal treatment in our KLM Cargo Animal Hotel. IATA-standard sky kennels available in various sizes worldwide; Sky kennels cleaned in transit;  A unique dog-walking service;    Appointed carrier Pet Travel Scheme (dogs & cats to the UK).

KLM Cargo has joined the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) as of May 1st, 2003.  This means that you can bring your cat or dog to England with KLM Cargo without putting your pet into quarantine in the UK, provided that your pet meets the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) requirements. KLM Cargo is allowed to transport cats and dogs shipped as manifested cargo to the UK from European PETS countries on the route Amsterdam (Schiphol) to London Heathrow.

Variation Live Fish

We offer a select worldwide network for ornamental fish, serving Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa. We ship captive-bred and wild-caught fish (marines, invertebrates, corals) as well as live aquatic plants from various origins.

In-transit accommodation at our climate-controlled Animal Hotel at Schiphol;  In-house EU inspection facilities;  Dedicated handling, pallet build-up and ramp transport by specially trained staff;  KLM Cargo is a member of Ornamental Fish International (OFI). We only do business with registered agents and shippers (not private persons).

Variation Live Chicks

We have extensive experience in transportating day-old chicks and hatching eggs. We offer intensive care within a select network. We guarantee dedicated handling worldwide by training local handlers to ensure proper pallet build-up and ventilation. Our customized vehicles offer complete protection in all weather conditions

VARIATION LIVE SPECIALS

We offer customized solutions for transporting zoo animals as well as cattle and insects. We have developed special procedures to gain insight into participating zoos, game reserves and animal reception centers to ensure the animals arrive in perfect shape at their final destination. KLM Cargo is a member of the IATA Live Animal and Perishable Board.
