Modern fleet

Thanks to its efficient network, its modern fleet and many economical measures, KLM’s performance regarding fuel efficiency is one of the best in Europe. On average, KLM uses 3.28 litres (.87 gallons) of fuel to carry 100kg (220 lbs.) a distance of 100km (62 miles). Fleet renewal and measures taken in the airline’s environmental program have reduced KLM’s noise production by 12% in the past four years.
