SANEC World Cup 2010 Partnership Mission to South Africa headed by Erica Terpstra
On behalf of the EVD, Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and in cooperation with The Royal Netherlands Embassy in Pretoria, the Dutch Consulate General in Cape Town and South African Tourism, SANEC; Southern African Netherlands Chamber of Commerce organises a collective multi sectoral trade mission to South Africa focussing on the opportunities surrounding and beyond the WC Soccer 2010 in South Africa. This trade mission will be headed by Erica Terpstra and will take place from 29 October till 5 November 2008.
The goal of this trade mission is to assist Dutch companies and organisations with their orientation on the South African Market and to introduce them to interested South African counter parts. SANEC offers an intensive business week with one on one business meetings, site visits, seminars, networking events and business unusual in the bush. As investment in the Kenyan manufacturing and petroleum sector is on the rise, environmental awareness and health safety issues have become increasingly important. The Nairobi based firm Nutek Solutions is assisting businesses in meeting the stringent Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) laws.
The Kenyan government requires that investors who want to start a business in the country to get a certificate to show that they have complied with all health and safety requirements before a go-ahead is granted. Seen by many investors as a stumbling block, this requirement has left many entrepreneurs groping in the dark, wondering where to go to get professional consultancy and advice in order meet these basic rules.
