Good management

Good management and sustainable business practices must be accompanied by transparent and verifiable accountability. For this reason, KLM endorses the Global Reporting Initiative of the United Nations.

Reporting and assurance

Pursuant to the NRE (New Economic Regulations) law of 2001, Air France-KLM publishes the social and environmental data relative to its activity on an annual basis.


To review and identify CSR issues, the Group works closely with internal and external stakeholders by applying the materiality test, as defined in the ‘Global Reporting Initiative’ guidelines.

Key issues

The materiality test carried out in 2009 by Air France-KLM confirmed the Group’s identification of the sustainability key issues and helped complete the mapping process.
