It is the easiest, most effective and least costly way to fly CO2 neutral.
It bears mentioning that KLM views this form of compensation as a temporary solution. Our ultimate aim is to reduce the volume of CO2 emitted by our aircraft. However, this form of compensation will remain the only alternative until feasible technology is developed to reduce emissions.
Windpark Bonaire
A Gold Standard-project(PDF, 520KB) ensures that the compensation paid will be invested to generate sustainable energy, primarily in developing nations. Thanks to CO2ZERO a wind farm was constructed on the isle of Bonaire.
