    Things to do in Stockholm

Postcard-pretty Stockholm, built on 14 islands, is perfect for just strolling around and taking in key sights like the Old Town's main square Stortorget or The Royal Palace. Head to the leafy island of Djurgården with its plethora of museums, including the high-tech Vasa Museum. For art appreciation, try edgy Liljevalchs Art Gallery or the impressive Museum of Modern Art on Skeppsholmen. Attractions usually open 10am-6pm, with a late opening night mid-week.
