Barcelona Airport
Barcelona airport (El Prat de Llobregat) is one Spain's busiest, transporting around 33 million passengers a year from three terminals (a fourth is under construction). Just 16 km (10 miles) from the city centre, the cheap and convenient Aerobús takes you to there in a speedy 15-25 minutes.
Train
The train is fast and comfortable. Line C10 Barcelona Airport Train (RENFE) takes you into Barcelona Sants in around 20 minutes at 20-30 minute intervals and costs €2.75 one way. The station is located across the elevated walkway. Once at Barcelona Sants you can transfer to the Metro or other Rail services.
Bus
The cheap and convenient Aerobus (A1) stops directly outside terminals A, B and C, delivering you to Plaça Catalunya via Placa Espanya. The journey time is around 25-35 minutes and buses run every 7-15 minutes. Single tickets cost € 3.90 and are purchased on the bus. At busy times the bus gets quite full so choose a different option if you have lots of luggage.
Taxi
Official black and yellow Barcelona taxis wait outside all terminals and carry a maximum of four people including children. The journey into Barcelona takes around 30 minutes depending on your destination and costs around €15-€20 on weekdays, slightly more on the weekends. There is an additional surcharge for each item of luggage. Check the meter for the final price and ask for a receipt.
