Airport Barcelona
Barcelona Airport
Barcelona airport (El Prat de Llobregat) is one Spain's busiest, transporting around 33 million passengers a year from three terminals (a fourth is under construction). Just 16 km (10 miles) from the city centre, the cheap and convenient Aerobús takes you to there in a speedy 15-25 minutes.
Shopping
All three terminals at Barcelona Airport are connected by a light and spacious shopping area in first floor departures beyond security control. The biggest concentration of shops is around Terminal B. Buy regional culinary delights at Vilaplana Gourmand, CDs and computer games at Crystal Media, cigars at La Cava del Cigarro and luxury luggage at Burberry. Make the most of duty-free liquor and tobacco, fragrance, skincare and cosmetics, and sunglasses.
Eat & Drink
Cafés and restaurants are conveniently located in all three terminals. Most are beyond security control and there are several options next to each cluster of departure gates if you're in a hurry. Try Illy L'Espresso for good-quality coffee, Fresh &Ready for quick sandwiches and Café di Fiore to relax with a cold Spanish beer at the bar.
Internet
There are 26 wireless Internet access points (with Kibiwireless, Comunitel and Vodafone) distributed around the three terminals. There are also 19 multimedia terminals offering internet access for those not travelling with their own computer. Find them on the ground floor of Terminals A and B, in the connecting corridor and around several of the boarding gates.
