    Nightlife in Munich

Compared with some European cities, Munich's nightlife is relatively small scale. However it is extremely varied, embracing world-class theatre and opera, chic bars including Ksar-Barclub in the fashionable Gärtnerplatz district and traditional beer cellars such as the Hofbräuhaus in the Altstadt. Hit the dancefloor at Schwabing's Skyline, chill out at Jazzclub Unterfahrt or link arms with locals and sway to the rustic music at Jodlerwirt. Many bars close around 1am and most nightclubs at around 4am.
