Shopping in Leeds
Leeds is an ideal shopping city, with wide traffic-free shopping streets in the heart of the city centre. The focus is on clothes, accessories and jewellery, from both designer boutiques and high-street chains. Some of the best boutiques are in the beautifully restored arcaded Victoria Quarter. Close by, the handsome Edwardian premises of traditional Kirkgate Market throng with bargain hunters. Most shops open Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm, though some keep longer hours.
