Tijdens een vakantie in Miami geniet u van zon en zee op het paradijselijke South Beach of bewondert u de pastelkleurige gebouwen van de stad tijdens een Rondleiding door het historische art-decodistrict. Ook vindt u tijdens uw vakantie in Miami cultuur in overvloed in het weelderige Viscaya Museum and Gardens in Coconut Grove of in de vooraanstaande kunstmusea van Miami Beach.
Winkelen
Coconut Grove is de thuishaven van aparte modewinkels en South Beach is de plek bij uitstek voor designerlabels. Als souvenir van uw reis naar Miami neemt u een dominospel uit Little Havana en de nieuwste zwemkleding uit Miami Beach mee.
Restaurants
Met vliegtickets naar Miami reist u af naar een culinaire wereldkeuken, variërend van de Aziatische fusiongerechten van Azul in Brickell Key tot pittige Cubaanse klassiekers in Little Havana. Miami Beach is een uitstekende locatie voor hamburgers en liefhebbers van verse sushi komen in South Beach aan hun trekken.
Uitgaan
Bent u iemand die graag de bloemetjes buiten zet tijdens uw vakanties? Boek dan snel uw vliegtickets naar Miami waar de nachtelijke feestjes in South Beach tot in de late uurtjes doorgaan. Little Havana staat bekend om zijn salsaclubs waar u tijdens uw avondje uit heerlijk kunt swingen, om vervolgens weer tot rust te komen in de kaarsverlichte cafés van Collins Avenue. Een trip naar Downtown en het Design District wordt beloond met een keur aan restaurants/lounges die pas laat hun deuren sluiten.

South Beach is known as the Spanish Quarter and the reason soon becomes self-evident. Everyone speaks Spanish except for tourists like myself but the good news is most South Beach locals are bi-lingual. Pretty laid-back, the Deco area is total eye-candy. It's most of South Beach going up to around 22nd St. Beyond that lies a golf course, then all the millionaires' homes and their boats plus the recently-built condo high-rises along Collins. The brochures in your hotel and in the tourist office on Washington Av near 14 St. will prove invaluable if you want the low-down on activities like diving eating clubbing sunbathing taking a bus to the airport (150) etc. Just watch out for the occasional hurricane.
