Flights to Madrid take you to a foodie's dream. Cosy up in an alcove inside the mesones or cellar bars along Cava San Miguel, near Plaza Mayor. Sip sangria and feast on traditional tapas like jamón serrano and tortilla española (omelette).

Join the madrileños (locals) for pre-dinner drinks and tapas snacks in Plaza Santa Ana's oak-panelled cervecerias where smart waiters serve thirst-quenching tipples from huge beer pumps. Save your sleep for the flight from Madrid.

KLM has frequent flights to Madrid. Catch live music on summertime Sundays at the Retiro Park bandstand and party with locals during May's Fiesta de San Isidro celebrations for Madrid's patron saint.

Madrid is a wonderful city to discover. It has excellent food, active night life, many free high level exhibitions (or at veru affordable prices), good climate and nice people. Not to forget the excellent train network. A city to enjoy.grace - Argentina

try the food, the theatre shows, if you speak Spanish (high level); do not miss "cercanias" (towns near Madrid to be reached by short train trips), walk it through, enjoy the Prado museum.

Na een prima vlucht vier dagen in Madrid doorgebracht. Ga van de gebaande paden af en je drinkt koffie voor €1, en wijn voor iets meer. Bezoek het Prado en het Reina Sofia museum. Prima overbindingen maar ga lopen! Prachtige statige gebouwen op de Gran Via. Gezellige kleine eetgelegenheden in bijzondere wijken en vergeet vooral de horecamarkt San Miguel niet met een bezoek te vereren! Een fiets huren werkt voor ons Hollanders prima al ben je wel een unicum en moet je uitkijken!nicoline55 - Spanje

Koop op de luchthaven meteen een metrokaart voor het aantal dagen van je verblijf, goed en goedkoop. Let goed op je spullen in de metro, zakkenrollers.
