Review of New York
New York
Take flights to New York to a high-octane neon-lit city where yellow cabs dash through the grid-like streets.
Things to do
On your holiday to New York, stride over the cast-iron Brooklyn Bridge to catch the Manhattan skyscraper skyline bathed in afternoon light, as speedy cyclists and roller-bladers go whizzing by.
Shopping
Stepping off your flight to New York, join New Yorkers hunting down bargains at Century 21 in Downtown, a temple of discount designer labels. Browse through four floors of goodies, from Chanel suits to Gucci handbags and Paul Smith jackets – Monday mornings are best to avoid the crowds.
Restaurants
Join the queues at the ever-popular Katz’s Deli, an informal diner where pastrami on rye and juicy pickles are the flavours of choice. Don’t expect haute cuisine – just an honest-to-goodness New York dining experience with traditional Jewish flavours.
Nightlife
A flight to New York means joining locals for vibrant nightlife. At the iconic Nuyorican Poet’s Café in Lower East Side, upcoming artists get on stage for slam poetry with rapid-fire quit wit and sharp-tongued humour.
When to go
KLM has frequent flights to New York. Book a city break to catch New York’s top events like Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in November, or outdoor music at June’s Central Park SummerStage.

Magical city!~!27 Feb 12
New York is one of the best-known cities in the world for a reason. It's a cultural melange that everyone should experience. The prices are not high (except for hotels unless you find a good deal), the food is fantastic, and there's ALWAYS something to do.kentuskanal - Canada
