Flights to Dubai take you to a glitzy shopping-mad city with spot-lit mosques and aromatic souks, proud of its Arabic culture.
Things to do
An evening stroll at the busy Dhow Wharfrage shows off Dubai’s diverse charm. Feel the breeze in your hair while watching boatmen loading cargo into traditional wooden sailing boats, with the curvaceous National Bank gleaming in the night sky.
Shopping
Late afternoons at the traditional Gold Souk see everyone flock for exotic bargains. It’s an essential Dubai city break experience, with narrow covered walkways and windows piled high with jewel-studded tiaras and slender gold pendants, and smooth-talking salesmen.
Restaurants
On a Dubai holiday, dip into mezze like wara enab (stuffed vine leaves) and garlicky hummus before your machbous (spicy lamb). From top-floor restaurants in glamorous hotels, feast your eyes on the warm Arabian Sea lapping onto Jumeirah Beach.
Nightlife
Take flights to Dubai for a taste of desert life. After driving around ochre rolling dunes, dine on barbecued meat on the open fire, spotting stars in the inky-black sky. Indulge in an evening of silence, sand and sheesha pipes.
When to go
KLM has frequent flights to Dubai. Buy airlines tickets to the Dubai Shopping Festival in January for bargains galore, or the multi-million dollar Dubai World Cup horse racing in March.

In Dubai use the Metro as transport easy to use most Malls/Souks are close to the stations or just a short walk. also try the Desert Safaris to experience the desert way of life. the cheapest travel is the Abras only 1 Dh.

Take the sun in small dozes at the start of holiday and use Factor 30 to begin with, tailing that back to Factor 15 or 10 depending on how your skin takes to the sun.

everything about dubai is larger than life and spectacular to look at. No two buildings are the same shape and no matter where you go the people are friendly, There is so much to see and do you definately need to go back a second , third fourth time to experience it all. Go off roading get the best experience you will ever have take a 4 x 4 day on the sandunes and enjoy the best thrill, the best sunset and topped off by entertainment at the campsight with great food thrown all. all inclusive of your pricel try to visit outside of dubai see the real shops where you can banter for your purchases, it seems obvious but try to see the main sights he palm , the madinat jumeirah,mall fountains, (best place to see this is at TGI in the mall from the balcony), I could go on and on but you wont be disappointed

Kort verblijf van 4 nachten, maar ik kom zeker terug en dan wat langer, want er is genoeg te zien en te beleven. Let op wanneer je gaat ivm de temperatuur. Strand, lekker eten, winkels, luxe luxe luxej3bergen -

Dubai Mall moet je gezien hebben maar is vrij druk en onoverzichtelijk. Mall of the Emirates is prettiger winkelen. In Hotels kun je heerlijk eten en de prijs is prima, bovendien kun je als je wilt in de hotels ook alcohol nuttigen. Absolute must om te zien is de watershow s'avonds om het half uur buiten Dubai Mall.

After arriving we set our objectives on several hotels instead of 1. We stayed at Borg Al Arab, I call the sail boat hotel, 1 night, on the 19th floor beautiful Suite. But very pricy. The Jumeriah Beach Hotel a sister hotel of the Borg El Arab, 3 nghts and Atlantis 3 nights to get the different flavors and elequence of the area. We were impressed at the transistion from a fishing village to a mini- metropolis with all of the diversity and creativity that was expressed in it's construction of different buildings. We went to Abu Dabi and stayed at the Emeritz Palace, 2 days. Very impressive and beautifully appointed. I can honestly say "It is an experience that WE will never forget".Skyking - PR China

It has everything from the most discriminating taste, to the more moderate of tastes. Depends on whether you are going as a family or a couple. It's a shoppers paradise. Even has a snow ski-run housed in a blding, Plenty of sun, <smile> archetectual wonders of a variety including the Palm Islands created from the ocean sand, the tallest blding in the world, and a beautifully constructed Mosque in Abu Dabi. You can spend time just soaking up the culture along the outdoor markets. Really depends on the individual tastes.

Great for a four/five night break. Lots of fabulous shopping centers, souks and a visit to the top of the Burg Khalifa is a must. Don't miss the fountains at night at the Dubai Mall shopping center, water fountains dancing to music.Dave - United Kingdom

Take a city tour on the open top bus, expensive but worth it, jump off and on a various stopping points on route and explore Dubai.
