Kids will love the International Children's Festival each May. Also in May is the Lilac Festival, a one-day extravaganza of street entertainment. In July the action is non-stop at the world-famous Calgary Stampede, with its rodeo, parade, country music, and free pancake breakfasts. At the end of July, the Calgary Folk Music Festival draws music-lovers from across the country. Literary enthusiasts will enjoy the Wordfest in October.
