Good things come in twos on this island. Party with the yachties at the St Maarten-St Martin Classic Yacht Regatta in January and do it all over again in March at the Heineken Regatta. Dance in the street at St Maarten's Carnival in February and again in April/May at St Martin's Carnival. Though Bastille Day (14 Jul) is really a French national holiday, both sides of the island celebrate it with fireworks, parades and contests.
