Nightlife in Gothenburg
Things are busy until the early hours in town – and most of Gothenburg's best nightlife is focussed on the Avenyn district, which is home to numerous nightclubs and bars, including the Valand club and the lively Rose and Crown. For major rock concerts, the Scandinavium indoor arena is top choice, while for classical culture, the waterside Opera House is the prime venue. Nefertiti, in the city centre, is the top jazz club.

Opera House
Classical arts
The elegant new Opera House was opened by the Swedish king in 1994 and
