The white Cairo Airport Shuttle Bus is a quick and comfortable way to travel to downtown Cairo, Giza, Haram and suburbs. Fares cost E£80 to the city centre, E£70 to Heliopolis.
Taxi
Taxis operate on a flat fee basis. Official Cairo taxis are metered, white or yellow. The journey to downtown Cairo takes just under an hour (more during commuter rush hours) and costs E£80. Cab drivers expect a tip. Limousines are available outside the terminals.
Car
Car hire through international rental companies is available at Arrivals in all terminals. Driving to and from central Cairo takes around an hour but can take twice that time during peak traffic hours. A 9 km (5.5 mile) access road links the airport and the Cairo Ring Road (toll E£5).
