    Things to do in Manila

Many Manila attractions cluster around its Spanish heart on the bay. Start with the 15th-century walls of Intramuros and Fort Santiago, along with Manila Cathedral, for an introduction to the colonial city. For pre-Hispanic art and history, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Manila and National Museum of the Filipino People, both close to Rizal Park. Boats tour Manila Bay's Second World War sites while contemporary Manila is best seen in Makati and Malate.
