Nightlife in Havana
Havana's famous nightlife is typified by the sultry salsa clubs in Centro and Vedado. Musical melodies like jazz, boleros, modern reggaeton and the political lyrics of Nueva Trova all feature in the city's many bars and clubs. The extraordinary Tropicana Cabaret in Marianao is a particular nocturnal treat. Heady rum cocktails fuel the city's nightlife and bands play in Old Havana bars until midnight. Salsa clubs and big-name stars get moving just as the bands close down.
