Things to do in Havana
Old Havana's tight streets open up into cobbled plazas and baroque decorations adorn the Spanish colonial buildings. After a history lesson at the Museo de la Revolución and cigar sampling at the Partagás Cigar Factory, on Sundays, roll up to Centro's crazily-decorated Callejón de Hamel for some hip rumba under the tropical sun. The fascinating Museo Ernest Hemingway occupies the author's former home in southeast Havana. Most museums open Tuesday-Saturday with half days on Sunday.

The undulating baroque facade of Old Havana’s twin-towered cathedral hides an austere vaulted stone interior. Illuminated at night, the building dominates the cobbled Plaza de la Catedral, surrounded by the columned arcades and bougainvillea-clad balconies of former Spanish nobles’ mansions.Show this on mapE-mail this item
