Restaurants in Panama City
Casco Viejo is home to some of the city's best international restaurants, like S'cena. High-end and mid-range options, such as Madame Chang and S'cena, cluster around El Cangrejo, Obarrio, and the Amador Causeway. There are budget eateries serving typical almuerzos corrientes (daily menus) throughout the city, but they tend to close early. Most restaurants are open until at least 10pm on weekdays and later on weekends. A 10% service charge is generally included.
Miraflores Restaurant
Fine dining by Canal
Overlooking the Miraflores Locks on the Panama Canal, the Miraflores
Restaurant is popular not only for its excellent cuisine, but for its
up-close views of massive cargo ships transiting the Canal. Lunch is the
busiest time and advance reservations are necessary. Diners should try for a
table near the railing for the best views.

Mercado de Mariscos Restaurant
Fresh seafood favourite
Seafood doesn't get better than this. Housed above the Mercado de Mariscos,
Panama City's fish market in Calidonia, it serves specialities such as
grilled octopus, ceviche (raw fish marinated in lemon juice), squid,
and seafood soup. There's nothing fancy about the Mercado de Mariscos
Restaurant, but it's impossible to find anything fresher.

A perennial favourite, Mi Ranchito is always bustling, thanks to the
