Super-modern Vienna International Airport in Austria's capital is expanding. From 2009, 24 million passengers will pass through its single hub each year. The City Airport Train travels the 16km northwest into Vienna in just 16 minutes.

Airport parking

Short-term car parking is available at K1 and K2 car parks. Cheaper options are the multi-storey parks 3 and 4, and long-term outdoor parking in parking lot C. All are close to the terminals. Pay in cash or by card at the main pay desk in Car Park 4 or at payment machines in the terminals before collecting your vehicle.

Transport between terminals

Terminals are housed in one vast building and are within 10 minutes walking distance of each other.

Terminal 1a

Most flights from Terminal 1a are bound for European destinations. Check-in is on Level 1 of the terminal building.

Terminal 1

Terminal 1 has a mixture of European and long-haul destinations. Gates A1-A8 are dedicated to non-Schengen European flights within Europe. C51-62 are for flights to Schengen Agreement countries, currently Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden (and Switzerland as of Nov 2008). The check-in area for Terminal 1 is on Level 1 of the main terminal building.

Terminal 2

Like Terminal 1, this terminal is also a mixture of European and long-haul destinations, with C51-62 for flights to Schengen countries (see above). Check-in is on Level 1 of the main terminal building.
