Shops selling minimalist Scandinavian interior designs and traditional Norwegian knitwear dot the city centre. Seek out patterned wool sweaters at the Oslo Sweater Shop or quirky designs from the DogA Centre in Grunerløkka. Also worth looking for are handmade candles and antiques. Shops generally open from 10am to 6pm weekdays, closing earlier on Saturday, but the big malls have longer hours.

Historic market
A unique shopping experience, Bærums Verk is a restored ironworks outside
