Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport
A modern airport, Lyon St-Exupéry receives flights from about 30 countries and transports almost 8.5 million passengers a year - 60% of them on international flights. Often known by its former name, Satolas, the airport has excellent transport links to the city and Rhone valley. The airport is located 25 km (15 miles) south-east of Lyon.
Taxi
Marked taxis are available at the airport. Fares are controlled by law. The journey into central Lyon takes roughly 45 minutes and costs around €40-€45 during the day and €55-€60 at night. Tips are not expected.

Car
The airport is on the D29, which runs directly to and from the Part-Dieu area of the city. The D306 highway and Autoroute A432 (junction 4) also connect the airport with the city centre. Journey time varies according to the time of day, but it generally takes around 30 minutes. Car hire is available at the airport with several international companies.
