    Restaurants in Munich

Bavarian cuisine predominates, epitomised in the menus of Michelin-starred Schubecks in den Südtiroler Stuben, or in the more affordable city centre Hundskugel and Augustiner Restaurant. However, Munich is Germany's gastronomic heartland, with more than its fair share of gourmet temples. Try Tantris in Schwabing for nouvelle cuisine, or Acquarello in Bogenhausen for refined Italian fare. Opening times vary with many restaurants open 11am-11pm/midnight. Service is usually included, but a small tip is welcomed.
