    Shopping in Munich

    The Viktualienmarkt in the Altstadt is a veritable showplace of Bavarian agriculture, with attractive market stalls and burly market traders selling fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs, wine, bread, cheese, fish and a host of Bavarian specialities. There's even a beer garden.

    Elisabeth Market

    Charming country-style market

    Named after the Bavarian princess Elisabeth (who later became Empress of Austria), the quaint stalls at the Elisabeth Market serve delicious picnic items and food gifts - high-quality cheeses, meats, herbs, breads, vegetables, flowers, honey and even wine.
