    Nightlife in Birmingham

    From jazz joints to classical concert halls, Victorian pubs to cool clubs, Birmingham's nightlife is eclectic. Enjoy cocktail hour in the city centre, head to trendy St Paul's Square for live jazz at The Jam House or attend concerts at the Town Hall and Symphony Hall by Brindleyplace. Pubs usually close at 11pm but bars are open till 2am and clubs until 3am. All venues are now smoke–free.

    Once the Birmingham Joint Stock Bank, the Old Joint Stock pub is opposite the cathedral in central Birmingham. A Victorian-era glass-domed ceiling rises over an island bar serving local guest ales and their renowned pies. Head upstairs for pub theatre.

    Rock'n'roll to classical concertos
