Vancouver International Airport
Vancouver International Airport is Canada's West Coast hub and the country's second-busiest airport, with 17 million passengers a year strolling through its three terminals.
Time-rich travellers can browse to their heart's content both pre- and post-security in the International Terminal. Dress up for the great outdoors at BC Sports, Mountain Style and Roots post-security. Take home presents from Discover Vancouver and Gifts of the Raven, and a gift for the kids from Kids Works. Along with duty-free perfumes and alcohol, there are tax-free bargains on Burberry, Hermès, Ferragamo, Swarovski and local couture. You can also shop at the duty-free store downtown and pick up your purchases at the airport. Both terminals sell a good range of reading material and travel accessories.
Travellers with laptops can pick up wireless internet access (with TELUS) throughout the airport's public areas. Pay-by-the-minute internet phones are found in both terminals. Plaza Premium lounges are located after security in departures and pre-security in arrivals, offering computer and Internet access.
East & Drink
The best choice of food and drink is after security in the International Terminal and pre-security in the Domestic Terminal. For casual family dining, have your pick of bagels, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, sushi and pastries, or refuel at Starbucks. Take your time at Japanese Hanami or Milestone's Restaurant and Bar in the International Terminal. You'll find a choice of grill bars in the Domestic Terminal, including Legends and the Palomino Bar & Grill. The place for a gourmet dinner with spectacular runway views has to be Globe@YVR in the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel in the International Terminal.
