    Restaurants in Lisbon

Lisbon's café culture thrives from literary Café Martinho da Arcada in the Baixa and Café A Brasileira in the Chiado to Antiga Confeitaria de Belém, famous for its custard tarts. Fish and seafood are popular, particularly at upmarket Gambrinus and Belém's specialist Nune's Real Marisqueira. For special occasions, book a table at Tavares in the Bairro Alto, Michelin-starred Eleven in São Sebastião, or Alcântara Café for its nouvelle cuisine. Tipping 10% is normal in restaurants.
