    Dallas' high-end restaurants cluster in Highland Park and Downtown, including the award-winning French Room. Mid-range, fashionable eateries line the streets in Uptown, especially along McKinney Avenue. Look for Tex-Mex and barbecue restaurants throughout Dallas. Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse is a classic, having served tender, seasoned ribs and sandwiches to presidents, celebrities and ordinary folk for a century. Many restaurants are closed on Sundays, so call ahead. Tips are rarely included; add 15-20%.
