Freedom to dive where and whenever you want with your buddy, chose your dive site (obviously the ones with less people). Vast range of accommodation, some come with a jeep included in the price or just hire one very easy to do.MJV - UK

Don’t just stay with your hotel and do boat dives. You may be reluctant to dive just with your buddy but once you start and have confidence in each other it is awesome. Hire a vehicle and get out and explore the island. Having visited in August (low season) and January (high season) I would go back in August. Sea is warmer and less tourists around although we did notice if you were not a diver there were more activities in high season than in low season.

I started diving in Bonaire 11 years ago. This last visit was my thirtieth. I am a master diver and have dived around the world. I now leave my gear in Bonaire - it ticks all my boxes. It has so much to offer the diver, the diner, the sightseer, the activity holidaymaker. Anyone who fails to return after a trip their should take up origami....Sawbones - England

Diving. Snorkelling. Washington Slagbaai national park. The donkey sanctuary. The butterfly farm. Mangrove kayaking. Windsurfing. Kite boarding. Do I need to go on....fantastic food - fish caught that day, reall "the catch of the day".

If you want to relax, Bonaire is the place to be. The Island is small and the main town Kralendijk is a laid back village. It doesn't have the nightlife or shopping possibilities that the other Antilles offer, but if you come to relax, snorkel and dive this is definitely the place to be!!Anja - Netherlands
