Situated eight miles (12 km) west of the capital, Edinburgh Airport is Scotland’s busiest, flying nine million passengers a year from a single terminal. A £40 million terminal extension began in 2009, and will take several years to complete.

Airport parking
There is undercover short-stay parking at the terminal. In addition, on- and off-site long-stay car parks are accessible via a five-minute courtesy coach ride (runs every five to 10 minutes). Online pre-booking is cheaper than standard parking fees, and can be amended or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before travelling.

Terminals
KLM operates out of Edinburgh's one and only terminal with flights bound for Dutch destinations. Fly to Amsterdam Schiphol to connect with long-haul and pan-European flights.
Terminal 1
All domestic and European flights, and long-haul flights to North and South America and the Far East fly from Terminal 1. The terminal is compact and based on two floors. The check-in area is on the ground floor.
