    Things to do in Munich

    Munich City Museum showcases history, the German Museum science. Stroll through Schwabing's English Garden, and soak up the atmosphere on Marienplatz square in the city centre. In Maxvorstadt the extensive collections of the Alte Pinakothek, Neue Pinakothek and Pinakothek der Moderne galleries span two millennia of art. Munich also boasts glittering palaces including the impressive Nymphenburg Palace. Museum opening hours are usually 10am-5pm/6pm, although some close Monday.
