Airport Cape Town
Cape Town International Airport flies seven million passengers a year from its two terminals. A total makeover sees improved airport facilities for the 2010 Football World Cup. This includes an elevated road to ease access to the terminals, an additional multi-storey car park and a brand-new Central Terminal Building (CTB), catering for both international and domestic travellers.

Distance from city centre
22km (14 miles) east of Cape Town.
Airport parking
There are shaded parking bays and a more expensive multi-storey car park (with CCTV cameras) within easy reach of both terminals, with a roaming shuttle service for those who require it. A valet service and lock-up garages are also available for an extra fee. Pay stations are located outside the terminal buildings and accept both cash and credit cards.
Specific airport features
If your mobile phone does not work in South Africa, rent one from Vodashop Rentafone in both Domestic and International Arrivals. The queues for immigration can be long, so allow plenty of time for potential delays at the airport.
