Fit In
It is hard to feel overdressed in the fashion capital of China. While many of the city's older residents are largely oblivious to fashion and are often seen in pyjamas, young Shanghai locals attempt to look groomed and wealthy. You won't find grungy-looking students or over-stated Japanese pop fashions - expect Louis Vuitton handbags (often fake), stilettos and men in 'business casual'.
