Airport Copenhagen
Scandinavia's largest airport, Copenhagen Airport Kastrup flies over 21 million passengers a year from its three modern, stylish terminals. Central Copenhagen is a 15-minute train or Metro ride, 8km north-west of the airport.
Distance from city centre
8 km (5 miles) south-east of Copenhagen.
Airport parking
There are five different grades of short- and long-stay parking spaces. These range in price and convenience from costly, covered Business Executive spaces (dark blue pylons P4, P6, P7 and P8) next to the terminals, to outdoor Economy spaces (yellow P15 and P17 pylons), a 10-minute shuttle bus ride away from the terminal and available for up to 15 days. Book in advance via the airport website. All areas are free of charge for stays of less than 15 minutes.
Specific airport features
Allow plenty of time to reach departure gates. At times the queues at passport control can be lengthy, and the compact layout of the terminals can be deceptive – especially if you are likely to find the excellent shopping a temptation.
