Review of Curacao
São Paulo
Brazil's teeming metropolis is one of the world's great cities. Flights to São Paulo give access to modernist art galleries, cuisines of every type, and lively bars and clubs.
Things to do
São Paulo city breaks can start quietly with Gregorian chants at the São Bento Monastery. Take a tour of the historic centre, including the neo-Gothic Cathedral and explore contemporary São Paulo flights of fancy at São Paulo Art Museum.
Shopping
São Paulo is the place to stock up on Brazilian goods from flip-flops to cachaça (cane liquor). The most luxurious option is mall-in-a-mansion Daslu, while street markets offer arts and crafts that will fill your São Paulo flight bag.
Restaurants
São Paulo's rich heritage is reflected in its varied cuisine. Eat Lebanese one meal and Brazilian beef the next in the restaurant district of Jardins. Travel to São Paulo's "Little Italy", Bela Vista, for authentic pasta dishes.
Nightlife
Have a drink in affluent Jardins, where bars range from noisy expatriate pubs to cool cocktail lounges. Clubs are concentrated in Vila Olímpia. If you prefer classical music, book your São Paulo airline tickets to coincide with the São Paulo Symphony.
When to go
KLM has frequent flights to São Paulo. Celebrate the city's founding on 25 January. Or buy your São Paulo airline tickets early for five days of partying at Carnaval in February or March.
