Siamese kittens, pungent spices, fighting cocks, hand-carved masks and reams of technicolour fabrics lure holidaymakers to Bangkok's labyrinthine Chatuchak Weekend Market. Hone your haggling skills and take an early morning Skytrain to explore the market at its coolest.
Restaurants
Plumes of chilli-scented smoke rise from the flaming woks in Banglamphu's narrow sois (backstreets). Chang beer in hand, sit at one of the curb-side stalls, where small change buys you a feast of pad thai noodles, tangy papaya salad and deep-fried shrimp.
Nightlife
Flights to Bangkok take revellers to neon-lit Khao San Road, where tuk-tuks dart like fireflies amid the beer-sipping crowds. For tattoos, massages and the occasional passing elephant, this hedonistic party street is the place to go in Bangkok.

KLM has frequent flights to Bangkok. Time your Bangkok city break to catch fireworks and marigold-strewn streets at the King's Birthday on 5th December, or water-loaded fun during Songkran (Thai New Year) in April.

Bangkok is one of these places where you never get boared. It is so lively, colorfull and burstling of life. Transportation is pretty well organized from the airport into the city. Taxi's are easy to get and cheap. This also goes for food, shopping, wonderful massages and coocking lessons. You can choose from so many activities such as museums, temples, wildlife, you name it. The people are friendly, helpfull and service minded. Thai Culture is worth wile to experience. So plan you next holiday trip to Bangkok, Thailand.hankypanky - china

Wear easy and light colored summer clothes. Make sure you have good walking shoes. Stay out of the sun and take a siesta after lunch. Take a nice stroll after dinner. Try Thai food, especially all the delicious fruits. Bargain at shopping, never pay the asking price. Do not forget to have a wonderfull thai massage. Have fun! Buy a little handy dictionary and try to learn and speak a little Thai. People will appreciate.

I consider Bangkok to be an amazing place there is a lot to see from the palce nd temples tht mark their history to the active modern city with lots of things to do and shop. Most people speak a little English but sometimes can be still challenging. Some of the vendors (tuk tuk drivers, "guides") in the tourist area are a little too agressive, but when you enter to the sites you kind of forget about them and enjoy the place. Thai food is said to be great but not to my taste but Bangkok has a lot of options from international fastfood chains to big restaurants offering a big variety to chose from, so is great and friendly on that.Oceanlook - Kenya

Try to go before July that is the hottest month, also if you can include the market Chatuchak in your visit, you will find lots of good deals if you like to bargain and stroll lots of corridors!

If you are in Bangkok for business or leisure you 'have to' visit by night the Lebua state tower which offer the most beautiful view over the city! The SkyBar on top is called Sirocco.
