For an authentic Calgary experience, visit a Western bar, where the atmosphere is friendly, the food hearty and country music dominates the scene. Two favourites are Ranchman's for an authentic experience and Cowboys for bawdy fun. All bars and nightclubs are smoke-free. Most pubs close at midnight, nightclubs often stay open until 2am.
