Events in Chengdu

Come in February to celebrate the Chinese New Year Lantern Festival, one of the most spectacular in China. This is followed by the famous Fire Dragon Festival in the nearby town of Huanglongxi, where visitors spray naked performers with fireworks. Chengdu residents celebrate Sichuanese flora and the coming of spring with the Chengdu Flower Fair in March and the International Peach Blossom Festival in March. The Osmanthus Festival in October bids farewell to summer.
