    Shopping in Jakarta

Bustling markets and air-conditioned boutiques are both on the cards in Jakarta. Three centuries of bartering have taken place at Tanah Aban Market in Central Jakarta, where street vendors sell spicy snacks. Out of the heat, Plaza Senayan in South Jakarta offers designer names and restaurants. Shopping malls are open from 10am until 9pm, whilst the markets operate late into the evening.
