Restaurants in Warsaw

Warsaw has many fine eateries, though it's generally advisable to avoid the tourist traps of the Old Town. Head instead to the centre, particularly around Nowy Świat. Sushi and fusion are all the fashion, though local dishes are equally good. Game features heavily on local menus, as do dumplings and sausage, as served at central Chlopskie Jadlo. Most restaurants open at midday and stay open till the last customer leaves; 10% is considered standard for tipping.

Belvedere

Romantic dining

Located in the New Orangery in Lazienki Park, Belvedere is a serious contender for Warsaw's most romantic restaurant. Tropical foliage, subtle lighting and smart, regal-style chairs set the scene for a menu featuring Russian blinis, black caviar, wild game and other delicacies. Expensive, but you certainly can't beat it for atmosphere.
