Istanbul Ataturk Airport is situated in Yesilkoy, on the European side of Istanbul, 28 km (16 miles) from the city centre. The Metro will whisk you into the city centre within 30 minutes.
Choose from a huge range of shops, everything from duty-free and designer fashions to jewellery and toys. There are also shops at the departure gates.
Buy textiles, silver decorations and copperware from the gift shops, silk and cashmere from Hermès, shoes from Ferragamo and Versace, Turkish delicacies from the Food Hall, and perfume, cosmetics, cigars, chocolates or vintage wine from the Duty Free shop.
Free wireless high-speed internet access is available in the lounges of the Arrivals and Departures Terminals. Wireless access spots within the terminals can be accessed by paying online or by pre-paid card.
East & Drink
There are numerous cafés, restaurants and fast food outlets in both terminals, before and after passport control. Enjoy a buffet breakfast or Turkish, Italian and Chinese cuisine at Restro restaurant, a snack at the pub Efes Beerport and Turkish specialities at Tadinda Anadolu. Cafés include Istanbul Café, C&B and Sweet Delights, which serves baklava with walnuts or chocolate.
