Berlin Tegel Airport
Frequent flyers choose Berlin-Tegel Airport for its convenient location and hassle-free service. The terminal flies more than 15 million passengers a year to European and long-haul destinations. Central Berlin is a 15-20-minute taxi ride away. This airport is set to close in spring 2013 to make way for Berlin's new Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport.
Most shops cluster in the Boulevard Tegel before security control, where you can browse for everything from high-street fashion to fresh flowers, books and souvenirs. You'll find big brands like Hugo Boss and Esprit, as well as Bon Voyage for international press and Leysieffer for quality confectionary. Buy duty-free spirits, tobacco, fragrances and cosmetics in the departure lounges.
Passengers with a laptop or PDA enjoy high-speed wireless internet access at the terminal by selecting a provider and preferred method of payment.
East & Drink
Plenty of restaurants, cafés and bars vie for your custom in the terminal's main hall before security control. Get your caffeine fix at Segafredo Bar, or sip a beer before your flight at Wiesn Bar.
Refuel with a baguette and salad at Mayer's (Terminal A) or bratwurst and chips in ESS-Bahn (near Terminal A). Red Baron serves fresh salads and grill specialities. Sweet-toothed travellers should make for Leysieffer Bistro with its selection of homemade cakes and pastries.
