Restaurants in Lyon
Acclaimed throughout France as the nation's gastronomic capital, thanks to quality local ingredients, Lyon is bursting with gourmet restaurants. Most cluster on lively Presqu'île and touristy Vieux Lyon, from top-name Léon de Lyon and classic Brasserie Georges to cosy, distinctive 'bouchons', such as low-priced Le Garet, serving traditional Lyonnais andouillettes (tripe), pork and chicken at modest prices. Opt for good-value set menus. Mealtimes are fairly inflexible: 12pm-2pm for lunch, 8pm-9.30pm for dinner. Tipping is not required.
