One of Bonaire's most popular restaurants, Capriccio has served impeccably fresh Northern Italian cuisine on the harbourfront for almost 30 years. Originally from Padua and Milan, the restaurateurs offer savory salads, homemade pastas, straight-from-the-oven focaccia, and thin-crust pizzas. More-substantial fare includes flavourful mahimahi braised in onion, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes or braised duck in port-wine sauce. The 8,000-bottle wine cellar holds Italian, Californian, and French vintages, and the grappa and brandy list, although not as extensive, is formidable. Dining areas include an alfresco terrace, a cozy air-conditioned interior bathed in flickering candlelight, and elevated dimly lit alcoves for special occasions.
