Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport
The modern Chengdu Shangliu International Airport, 16 km (10 miles) southwest of downtown Chengdu, is the biggest airport in southwest China and handles 29 million passengers. The international departure building, built in 2004, cost RMB3.8 billion and brought the airport up to the best international standards. The shuttle bus into the city centre takes 35 minutes.
