Copenhagen Airport Kastrup
Scandinavia's largest airport, Copenhagen Airport Kastrup flies nearly 23 million passengers a year from its three modern, stylish terminals. Central Copenhagen is a 15-minute train or Metro ride 8km (5 miles) north-west of the airport.
Copenhagen Airport railway station is located in Terminal 3. Buy tickets from the ticket office in the Arrivals Hall or from machines in the station and take any train from platform 2 for central Copenhagen. The train is an easy and cost-effective choice (a single ticket costs DKK36), with services running every ten minutes and taking just 13 minutes to reach Copenhagen Central Station (Hovedbanegården).
Several buses serve the airport, the most useful being the 5A, which takes passengers into the city centre. Buses depart every ten minutes and take 35 minutes from the airport. Buses cost the same as the train (DKK36), but are much slower.
Opened in summer 2007, the Metro in Terminal 3 links the airport directly with the city centre every five minutes during the day and evening, and at 15-minute intervals throughout the night from Thursday to Sunday. Journey time to Nørreport station in Copenhagen city centre is around 15 minutes. A single trip costs DKK36.
Taxis are parked in front of Terminal 1 and 3 Arrivals. The journey takes 15-20 minutes from the airport to central Copenhagen and costs between DKK200 and DKK250, depending on the time of day.
The E20 Highway connects the airport to central Copenhagen. Car hire is available from Terminals 1 and 3.
