Johannesburg's revamped O.R. Tambo International Airport (formerly known as Johannesburg International) is the busiest airport in Africa and serves more than 17 million passengers a year from its two terminals. The airport, 25km northeast of Johannesburg, is currently undergoing further expansion, including a rail link into Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Car parks at both terminals offer free parking for the first 15 minutes. There is also a short-stay 'pick up and go' parking facility conveniently located in front of International Arrivals. The cheapest option for long-term parking is the Park-and-Ride facility at the Super South Gate, which is accessible via a free shuttle bus service.
